2 TURNT 2 TERMZ

Here's volume 2.  This list was 60 songs long but here is what made the cut.
A bit of background about Ne$$a's Best Mix Ever, I love making mixes and sharing them.  Last year I made a mix that was 90 songs long for my girlfriend's birthday party which has now inspired me to make lots more mixes.
In honor of 2 Chainz and our President's 2 Termz, I named Volume 2 after them. Volume 1 has to be cut down but will hopefully be shared with you soon.  I hope you enjoy! Tell me what you think!
Also, if you like it, you can download the 8Tracks app on your iPhone or Android and you can listen to and share it with everyone and everywhere you go! Yay!!!!

Shoyu Chicken & Skrimps

You all know I love to eat.  There's nothing like a plate of delicious savory flavors.  But there isn't always time or money (if you're ballin on a budget-like me) to go out to eat all the time.
When I'm working I hardly cook, but I do like to make things that are pretty easy but full of flavor.  I love slow cooker recipes and pretty much any meat that has been marinated for hours, with a side of rice and veggies and I am so good!
This is a chicken marinade recipe I found on AllRecipes.com, that I love.  It is sweet & salty but not in a salt kind of way.
These are ingredients that are always in my kitchen so it's easy to make.
This recipe calls for a grill, but I don't have one so I either pan fry it or throw it in the oven.

SHOYU CHICKEN <--click the link for the original recipe
-->
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup water
1 clove garlic, minced (I usually put 3-4 bc I loooove garlic)
3/4 tsp grated fresh ginger
3/4 tsp ground black pepper
3/4 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
1/4 tsp ground paprika (optional)
1 lb chicken thighs
3-5 large skrimps (I add this bc I like the variation)

1. Combine all ingredients except chicken/skrimps in a mixing bowl.  Set aside a bit of the marinade for the skrimps.
2. Put the chicken in a gallon size ziploc.
3. Pour the marinade in the ziploc and marinate for at least an hour in refridgerator. Also refrigerate the bit of marinade for skrimps you will use later. (You probably don't want to do it for more than 2 if you're making a small batch just for yourself.)
4. Before ready to cook, marinade your skrimps.
5.  Now GRILL IT, BAKE IT, or PAN FRY it. Spray your cooking surface with a bit of oil and cook it on medium high heat.
***I like to do medium high then turn up the heat to brown the outside.
6.  ENJOY! :)

What I'm Wearing: Lunar New Year

Happy New Year to all of you who celebrate Lunar New Years (and those of you who don't)! I went to visit my family for the weekend and it was wonderful! I stuffed myself with so much food so quickly that I forgot to take pictures to show you. But here is what I wore on one of the days. It was so beautiful and sunny out, I am not used to being welcomed by this kind of weather in San Jose.
Sunny but not warm in the Bay so I still wore tights.  I haven't worn this dress in years, but it still fits!

What I'm Wearing: Goodbye January 2013

Hi All!

It's already February! Happy Black History Month!

As you can already tell, I wear many of the same pieces over and over again.  I can't help it, I'm lazy and they're comfy!  These posts are of outfits I'm actually wearing; sometimes to work sometimes to run errands. I don't put outfits together contentiously with a theme or fashion trend in mind (at least not for myself, but sometimes for others-yes).  I dress for comfort, head to toe, and that's key when working 12+ hours a day on set.

About this outfit: my go to chambray shirt (I wash and wear this thing at least once a week), black cord skinnies (much needed for warmth), a very old and very pilled men's sweater, and my new Marc by Marc necklace! I adore Miss Marc.  Some say I resemble her, what do you guys think?

Oh, almost forgot the shoes, they're 80/20.  The very first brand I knew of that made a hidden wedge, back when I was in college.  Maybe others did it before 80/20 but these were my 2nd pair of hidden wedges, my first also by 80/20.  I got these 2 winters ago, they remind me of Timbs.

I'm glad I can share what I'm wearing with you.  Thanks for checking in every once in a while and I hope you come back.

I'll try to mix it up a bit more when it gets warmer; I don't know how to dress for the cold. =(

XOXO
