What I'm Wearing...Holiday

The holiday season is filled with lots of get-togethers with everyone from family, friends and even coworkers.  It can be a lot of fun to dress up for the occasions, most people even buy entire new holiday outfits this time of year.  It's difficult not to shop for yourself when you're shopping for others.

Contrary to what a lot of people think, I don't shop for myself as much as I shop for others (maybe that's why I do what I do).  Everything I wore to this weekend's holiday party was bought a while ago, the newest being the shoes which were bought over the summer.  I had to have them, they're rose gold!  The jacket is about 3 years old and the dress I wore last year for new years.  You can also recycle your clothes as long as you buy quality pieces, it's easy and fun to mix and match to create new looks.  It's also necessary when you're ballin on a budget (like me).

Sorry that I had to take mirror pictures to show  you my outfit.  I don't have a professional photographer that follows me around like a lot of the other bloggers out there.  It's just me (by myself, one iPhone). ;)

What I'm Wearing

Antanice took this picture of me when we were wedding planning...I don't accessorize much but have a mint bangle to represent one of the colors for her wedding.

This is basically my uniform...legging pants, a flowy top, a chambray shirt and my Marc by Marc nylon satchel.  I just got these dunks and I love them (they have a hidden wedge)! =) I have been wearing them with everything.

I've been wanting to get a pair of Warby Parkers for a while now but didn't need a new pair of eye glasses or sunglasses until last week...I lost my Ray Bans...It was a very sad loss...I've had those sunnies for over 2 years. =(

Thanksgiving Week

Thanksgiving week was very busy this year. My friend Antanice is getting married so we drove to the Palm Springs area to look at venues and check out possible vendors for her and her fiance's big day!

While we were there we discovered this amazing cafe, Palms Cafe.  It was the best pancake I have ever had and I'm not big on pancakes.  The blueberries inside were nice and soft, I didn't even need butter or syrup!  It was delicious!

Antanice loves nail polish and she has discovered the Sally Hansen nail stickers, they are great! She prefers them over regular nail polish.  There are a lot of cool designs, it even comes with a little wooden stick and file for you so you can do it anywhere!  Antanice did my nails which you can see down below.  I love them.  I am terrible at painting my nails so this may be a better alternative for me since the sticker comes in a nice nail shape.

On Thursday I flew to see my family.  I love visiting my family; I always eat well and seeing my dad's new clothes is always a joy.

Saw these on instagram today...how fun would these be for the holiday season? I love them!
Wear the set together or separate...there are lots of options for these.  I would certainly wear sparkly hot pants with matching bralette.  These are from Motel Rocks.

The Voice Season 3 Live

Have you all been watching?  I have the amazing opportunity to work on this show recently and it has been so much fun!  All the contestants are very talented and everyone on the crew is great to work with!  I am having a blast.
Did you catch the live shows last week?  It was my first time working on a live show and those 2 hours go by very fast.
